Topics

The topics addressed in the seminar are briefly described below, along with the essential references to literature. Under ``Reading'' are the the papers to be presented and discussed at the seminar. Each student is of course encouraged to do additional research when preparing a presentation or when preparing for a session.

Some hints on doing research, preparing presentations and writing reports (including their proper structuring) can be found at the CoLi Fachschaft's website http://www.coli.uni-sb.de/fs-coli/arbeitenschreiben.phtml.

Hard copies of the articles to be read are available in a folder in the CoLi library. Alternatively, most of the cited works are available on the internet. When a URL is not included in the citation, the best place to try looking for electronic versions are:

• Citeseer http://citeseer.nj.nec.com/cs/ (best to search for paper title or keywords)
• Google http://www.google.de/ (search for paper title or keywords, or author name(s))

Both Citeseer and Google are also good starting point when looking for additional related work.
