One side inquires the other side about some information. The inquirer may be the system, e.g., in a system gathering credit-card information, personal details, etc.), or the user, e.g., with a system providing entertainment information (such as ticket prices, scheduling of performances, cast, etc.) or travel information (such as available connection, departure/arrival times, ticket prices, etc.). Such dialogues mostly questions and answers. When is a question accurately specific? What is a satisfactory answer?
Several dialogue systems we have already mentioned or discussed in more detail concerned dialogues of this type, e.g., the travel information inquiry systems GoDIS, EDIS, MIDAS, etc.
