From 2012 through 2018, I led the Independent Research Group Multimodal Speech Processing in the Cluster of Excellence Multimodal Computing and Interaction. During that time, I was also a senior researcher at DFKI and a PI in the SFB-1102 Information Density and Linguistic Encoding.

As of 2021, I’m a member of the Speech Technologies team at Fraunhofer IAIS.

From 2019 to 2020, I was Director Process Innovation and Development at audEERING GmbH.

Previous research engagements include postdocs at CNGL in Dublin (UCD/TCD), INRIA in Nancy (LORIA), and DFKI in Saarbrücken.

Before that, I completed my PhD in the IRTG Language Technology & Cognitive Systems in Saarbrücken, some of it done at CSTR in Edinburgh.

My research includes text-to-speech synthesis, articulatory modeling, and multimodal fusion.
