Alexander was elected a Fellow of the Association for Computational Linguistics, “for foundational contributions to computational semantics, grammar formalisms, and neurosymbolic architectures.”

The Fellows program recognizes ACL members whose contributions to the field have been most extraordinary in terms of scientific and technical excellence, service to the association and the community and/or educational or outreach activities with broader impact.

Alexander joins a group of eleven amazing and accomplished Fellows for 2025. He is the only person in Europe in this year’s group.
