Web Question Answering by Exploiting Wide-Coverage Lexical Resources

Abstract:
I my talk I will outline an approach to Question Answering that uses the linguistic information available in lexical resources like FrameNet, PropBank and VerbNet to find on the web, answers to natural language questions. The approach is realized in a system I am currently developing. I will give a preliminary evaluation and report on initial experiences that reveal the challenges still ahead.
