Evaluation of Deep Parsing

Abstract:
My work to date has focussed on making deep parsers robust and efficient enough to use in applications. However an important issue in deep parsing is accuracy and the current parser evaluation methods we have are insufficent to assess the precision of the deep information these parsers supply.
In this presentation I will discuss some of the issues with current parser evaluation methods and present some ongoing work into more appropriate metrics. Feedback on what makes a meaningful and useful parser evaluation would be welcome.
