Konsonanten

Der mit * bezeichnete Approximant tritt im amerikanischen Englisch auf, der mit ** bezeichnete im britischen.
Der alveolare Trill tritt nur im britischen Englisch auf.
Bei Ladefoged sind auch die Affrikaten [tS] und [dZ] abgebildet. Diese haben wir in dieser Darstellung weggelassen.
