Content

This is a research seminar with hands-on components. Participants will build a limited-domain speech synthesis system using Festival TTS and FestVox tools. Practical work will pertain to all TTS system components: linguistic text analysis, prosodic analysis and generation, and acoustic unit selection and concatenation. Seminar projects may be extended to master thesis projects.

Entrance requirements: Successful participation in lecture on Text-to-Speech Synthesis (e.g., in winter 2011/2012).
