"Reusablility of Grammatical Resources" Workshop

Edinburgh, April 6-7 1995

New: Programme
New: Participant List

The RGR project (LRE-61-061, the Reusability of Grammatical Resources) organises its end-of-project workshop on April 6 and 7 1995 in Edinburgh. The project addressed a major bottleneck of language engineering: the fact that the compact representation and high-level concepts current in linguistic theory are not available in grammar development systems. To overcome this problem the project has developed optimised constraint solvers for sets, linear precedence, and implicational constraints, and extended syntactic notations to better reflect linguistic practice. The constraint solvers have been integrated in ALEP and in the CL-ONE environment.

The RGR workshop will comprise presentations, discussion sessions, demonstrations and tutorials. The workshop programme is attached below.

The workshop will be held at the Forth Bridges Moat House Hotel located at South Queensferry in the outskirts of Edinburgh. The hotel overlooks the scenic Forth Bridge and is a short drive from Edinburgh airport. The hotel has good facilities and full board accommodation at special rates for workshop participants has been arranged.

To register for the RGR workshop and to arrange accommodation at the conference site please send an email to clnlp95@cogsci.ed.ac.uk, clearly stating "RGR Workshop" in the subject.
