ETAP-3 Machine Translation System: An Overview

The state-of-the-art and future prospects of the ETAP-3 MT system will be reported. The system, developed in Moscow, is largely based on the Meaning-Text linguistic theory as proposed by Igor Melchuk and makes use of dependency tree syntax, high level dictionaries, and lexical functions. The operation of a standalone version of ETAP-3 will be demonstrated.
