Models of Incremental Sentence Processing

Leitung: Prof. Dr. Matthew Crocker, Dr. Alissa Melinger

Format: Forschungsseminar

Liestungpunkte: Schein by arrangement

Beginn: 30 April 2004

Seminar: Fr 11-13 Uhr, Psycholinguistik: Konferenzraum 2.11

Inhalt:

It is becoming increasingly clear that diverse information sources influence the processes of incremental, word-by-word language processing. The aim of this seminar is to discuss recent research, and also the Psycholinguistic's group ongoing research in this area. Specifically, we will consider the role of the visual environment in aspects of incremental language production and comprehension, at both the lexical and sentence level, as well as current computational models.

This seminar is intended for scientific staff and research level students (MSc and PhD) doing their thesis research in the area of psycholinguistics. Students should already be familiar with experimental methods in psycholinguistics. Students wishing to participate in the seminar will be expected to participate actively in discussion, to lead discussion in several sessions, and contribute to the groups research goals.

Voraussetzung:

For M.Sc. and Ph.D students doing research in psycholinguistics.
