TACoS Corpus License agreement

License Agreement for the TACoS Corpus for non-commercial use

("Licenser")

and "Licensee"

agree as follows

1. Status of Licensee

Licensee confirms that Licensee is an academic or educational institution.

2. Product

The TACoS corpus consists of the following parts:
  • For 127 Videos of kitchen tasks from the "MPII Composites corpus", there are several natural language descriptions
  • of the actions in each video, collected via Amazon Mechanical Turk
  • The descriptions contain timestamps that mark the start and endpoint in the video
  • Overall, the corpus contains about 17334 sentences, in 2206 video descriptions
  • Additionally, the corpus contains low-level annotations from the "MPII Composites corpus", and a time-stamp based alignments of the video-descriptions with this low-level annotations

3. License

Licenser grants Licensee a non-exclusive license to use the TACoS corpus. Licensee agrees
  • to use the corpus only for non-commercial, non-profit research purposes
  • to make no changes to the corpus
  • and to acknowledge the use of the corpus in all publications reporting on results produced with the help of the TACoS corpus by citing the the following paper:

Use of the corpus or use of data derived from the corpus for any commercial purposes requires explicit written agreement of Licenser.

4. Third Party Data

The videos underlying the sentence annotations are part of the "MPII Composites" corpus (Max Planck Institute for Informatics, Saarbrücken). The data can be retrieved from this webpage, under the license given by MPI for Informatics.

5. Fee

This license is granted by Licenser to Licensee free of charge.

6. Disclaimer

The TACoS corpus is provided on an "as is" basis, with no guarantee of its veracity or accuracy. No liability is accepted for any damage caused by its use.
