Annotating Unrestricted German Text

This paper discusses the development of an annotation
scheme for unrestricted German text. We argue for a uniform
representation format based on argument structure but allowing us to
recover other kinds of representations. We also discuss several
methodological issues and the analysis of some phenomena.
The presented annotation format has been successfully tested in corpus
annotation.
