A HPSG Grammar for Mandarin Chinese and its Application

In this talk, I will present my recent works on a HPSG grammar for Mandarin Chinese based on LinGO Matrix Grammar and LKB System. The motivation is to boost a linguistic deep grammar from available resources to fill in the gap of deep linguistic resource for Chinese. I will briefly discuss some linguistic phenomena of Chinese and their implementation in the grammar. Also the application of the grammar will be discussed.
