Bayesian Word Sense Discrimination
Speaker: Jenine Turner

Abstract:
Word Sense Disambiguation is a popular research area, but supervised approaches run into the knowledge acquisition bottleneck. As a result, interest has turned to Word Sense Discrimination, where there are no labeled training data. In this talk we present a Bayesian approach to Word Sense Discrimination, and show some initial results. We also discuss some difficulties with this initial approach and work in progress to address these difficulties.
