COLLATE (UdS)

Computational Linguistics and Language Technology for Real Life Applications
Collate Logo

Language Technology (LT) comprises a range of technologies specialised in handling written or spoken natural language data by applying algorithmic knowledge about human language. As such, LT is undoubtedly one of the major key technologies to tap the full wealth of information produced by the so-termed digital revolution. COLLATE is a joint effort of the DFKI, Department for Computational Linguistics & Phonetics and the Department for Computer Science at Saarland University to establish a German competence center for language technology in Saarbruecken. At Saarland University, the project is organised in three research groups which are led by Prof. Dr. M. Pinkal, Prof. Dr. H. Uszkoreit and Prof. Dr. W. Wahlster, respectively.
