NLP+ML for Science Information Systems
Projektseminar: Computerlinguistik, B.Sc./M.Sc.Leitung: Ulrich Schäfer
Ort: Geb. C7.1 U.15
Zeit: Di 08:30 - 10 Uhr
Geeignet für: B.Sc./M.Sc.
In this project seminar, we will investigate how search in scientific publications can be made more effective and efficient by applying language technology and machine learning techniques.
Possible tasks are e.g.
- Evaluation of an existing system (browser-based user interface). The system provides semantic search in the full content of 6000 recent PDF papers on language technology and computational linguistics that have been pre-analyzed with various NLP tools.
- Investigation of approaches to automatic extension of the underlying language technology ontology using the pre-analyzed corpus as source.
- Experiments with further NLP and ML tools to improve analysis and search quality (e.g. coreference/anaphora resolution).
- Experiments with innovative user interface extensions for navigation in search results etc.
