Course Contents

The course provides an introduction to descriptive and inferential statistics in experimental linguistics and includes the following topics: Basic concepts in experimental research, the nature of different types of quantitative data, basic statistical techniques applicable to different types of data, presentation and interpretation of results. The basics of the statistical package R will be introduced in order to organise, analyse and present data.

Course Requirements

Students are expected to dedicate 10am-2pm for lectures and 2pm-4pm for excersice/homework.
