Nevertheless, the problems of the junk market could prompt the Federal Reserve to ease credit in the months ahead. 3. When Westinghouse Electric Corp. shuttered its massive steam turbine plant in Lester, Pa., three years ago, it seemed like the company had pulled the plug on its century-old power generation business. But now Westinghouse is enjoying a resurgence in demand for both steam and combustion turbines and may even join the growing legion of independent electric producers. 4. The small, wiry Mr. Morishita comes across as an outspoken man of the world. Stretching his arms in his silky white shirt and squeaking his black shoes, he lectures a visitor about the way to sell American real estate and boasts about his friendship with Margaret Thatcher's son. 5.
