25th ANNIVERSARY OF THE DEPARTMENT OF COMPUTATIONAL LINGUISTICS AND PHONETICS

Saturday, 28 October 2017

About the Anniversary

This year, we are celebrating the 25th Anniversary of the Department for Computational Linguistics and Phonetics.

We are looking back on a proud and productive history, which traces back to beyond the year 1992, when our Diplom program in Computational Linguistics enrolled its first students and the research groups of Professors Barry, Pinkal, and Uszkoreit were brought together in the "Coli building". After joining our translation colleagues, we are now the Department of Language Science and Technology.

The anniversary party will take place on Saturday, 28 October 2017. It will be open to all current and former academic, technical, and administrative staff, as well as all graduates of our degree programs.

BE PART OF THE CELEBRATION

We would like to combine the celebration in the evening with a technical program in the afternoon, where the current department shows off current and previous research to each other, to our alumni, and to our guests from the university and politics. This can take the form of posters and/or demos.

If you would like to be part of the technical program, please contact us. Whether it's new research results that you'd like to show, existing results from your career, or even that poster you made for your first conference in 1998, we would like you to help us make this an impressive afternoon.
