Cross-Lingual Disambiguation and the Open Multilingual Wordnet

In this talk I will discuss some of our work on cross-lingual disambiguation, mainly in the context of machine translation. I will follow this with an introduction of recent work on making wordnets more generally accessible, starting with a shared online server for freely distributable wordnets. Finally, based on a survey of all currently available wordnets. we measure the effect that license choice has on the uptake of the various resources, measured by the number of citations.
